social media management

I worked alongside Evans Larson to manage all social media platforms for Plaza West Covina (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). On a weekly basis, I would create content for the channels that updated social media users of our current deals, upcoming events and store updates. I also attended community events and did live coverage and event recaps. By the end of my internship, I increased our account's following by 20%, increased viewer engagement by 100% and maintained a 96% story retention rate.

retailer relations

With over 150 retailers at Plaza West Covina, I built and maintained relationships with each of the stores and restaurants. I utilized RetailHub to keep the website updated with all deals and hours. In addition, I revamped & distributed the monthly newsletter which increased retailer engagement by 25%. I became the liaison between mall management and our mall's retailers.

crisis communication

With COVID-19 and the stay-at-home order in place, many businesses were in need of immediate action and communication. I assisted with crisis communication plan set for Plaza West Covina as a shopping plaza is one of the areas affected. To ensure customer and retailer safety, I created copy for the website updates, set up the "take out food and essential services" page and designed graphics to be put out on social media.
